Royal Australian College of General Practitioners
The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) was established to maintain high standards of learning and conduct in general practice (GP/family medicine). It is governed by a Council which meets face-to-face approximately five times a year. The Executive of Council may also meet on other occasions between meetings of the full Council.
The mission of the RACGP is to benefit communities by ensuring high quality clinical practice, education, and research for Australian general practice, and supporting current and future members in their pursuit of clinical excellence.
The RACGP website is also an excellent resource for GPs seeking specific medical information, advice on aspects of setting up a private practice or looking for further training opportunities.
