Employ an overseas trained doctor
Rural Health Education Foundation
The Rural Health Education Foundation provides television-based health education for doctors, pharmacists, nurses and allied health professionals. These programmes link doctors to sources of medical and health expertise via the Foundation's satellite network and their website. This can assist in reducing levels of professional isolation often experienced by doctors in rural and remote Australia. The programmes are also available as webstreams on the Foundation's website after the initial broadcast. They can also be purchased on VHS cassette and sometimes on DVD or CD-ROM also. A list of satellite access points that currently exist can be found on their website.
