DoctorConnect has been produced by the Department of Health and Ageing to provide a starting point for both overseas trained doctors (OTDs) who may be considering work in Australia and for employers seeking to recruit them.

While continuing to actively address the shortage of Australian trained doctors, the Department is also attending to the immediate medical needs of those communities in areas of workforce shortage through other initiatives, including the recruitment of appropriately qualified OTDs.

The information contained within this site is sourced from a wide range of agencies, such as the Australian Medical Council and the Department of Immigration and Citizenship.
